We weld aluminium parts in an argon atmosphere — rims, housings, brackets and other parts that would be expensive to replace, or that simply cannot be bought any more.
Aluminium does not forgive haste: overheated metal loses strength, and a weld that is too weak will not carry the load. So it matters not just that the part is welded, but that it is properly prepared — oxide removed, current matched to the thickness.
Most people come to us with cracked rims, but we weld other parts too. If you are not sure whether your part can be saved, bring it in — we will look at it and tell you straight away, not in a week's time.
The price depends on the length of the weld and the complexity of the part: a small crack and an awkward shape cost differently, so we quote on the spot.
